Mr. Shelby: So why aren't you sitting by her in detention if you're going out with her?
Bruce: I didn't think I should. Given what we were accused of, and all.
Me (sarcastic): Yeah, you can't trust us to sit next to each other. Any time we might lose control, lunge at each other and start having sex on the school floor.
(everyone explodes into laughter)
Mr. T: YES!!!!
Mr. Shelby: What you sayin' "YES" for?!
Mr. T: What? I get bored monitoring detention. Could use some action 'round here.

Detention was actually better than class because I got to write without anyone harassing me. 'Twas beautiful. Wrote some good stuff, too, about emo!beethoven. Long story.

Oh, and it was really cool when Natalie stood up for me and was all like, "When's your detention? I'm coming with you!" Sure, I told her not to, but it was cool all the same. To have somebody be willing to sacrifice their time for my sake. Or maybe not for my sake, but for injustice' sake. That's hopeful, anyway.

In other news, I did absolutely nothing but veg out and scare Bruce half to death. That was beautiful too.
